Current situation of loss assessment methodology discussed

National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia and Open Society Forum jointly held their monthly meeting named ‘Human rights morning tea’ on 24 November 2016.

As a guest of the meeting this time, U.Erdenebayar, President of Mongolian Professional Association of Loss Assessors and Property Companies give speech on the current situation of loss assessment in Mongolia.

He states, "It is very difficult to enforce compensation for damage inflicted to individuals. Particularly, absence of proven methodology to assess health and mental damages of persons commonly results in failure of compensation for harms. Thus, it is time that provisions of the Civil and Criminal Codes about compensation for damage changed through amendments providing detailed procedure with regard to this.” After his presentation U.Erdenebayar answered the participants’ questions
