At the invitation of the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia delegates of the Board of the Governors of the Asian Forum of the Rights of the Child namely Dr. Akito Kita, Chairman of the Board of Governors and director of the Research Institute of the Convention of the Rights of the Child, Mr. Shigeto Aramaki, Secretary General of the Asian Forum of the Rights of the Child, and Ms. Toko Uchida, professor of the Toyo University, visited Mongolia from 29 April to 1 May 2014 and review the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in Mongolia.

Within the scope of the visit the delegates visited the NHRCM and exchanged views on the issues of the children’s rights as well as visited School No 29, where the children with hearing disability go to, Orphanage “Unur bul”, the full secondary education school in Erdene soum, Central Province, and General Authority for Children.

Furthermore, they had a meeting with Mr. Muhamed Malick Fall, Resident Representative of the UNICEF in Mongolia.

During the meetings they discussed and exchanged opinion on the organizational preparation of the III Asian Forum of the Children’s Rights, which is to be held in August 2014 in Ulaanbaatar.
