National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia, Mongolian Confederation of Trade Unions, and Friedrich Ebert Foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany jointly organized “Right to labour” training in Sainshand, Dornogovi province on 5 and 6 May 2014.

The training involved approximately 40 participants inclduing officers, members at elected positions, and activists of trade unions in Dornogovi, Umnugovi, Dundgovi, and Govisumber provinces, and the NHRCM resident officers in these provinces.

The event, organized at regional level, aimed to provide information on human rights, labour rights, and other emerging human rights issues for the participants, to exchange views with them, to conduct surveys on the human rights defenders, and to receive the participants’ suggestion on the possible amendments to the Law on the legal status of the trade unions.
