Training for emergency management officers on “Mine rescue operation with human rights based approach”

Within the scope of "Sustainable Artisanal Mining” project of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the NHRCM, jointly with the National Emergency Management Agency, conducted training for emergency management officers on "Mine rescue operation with human rights based approach” from 14-18 October 2015.

Training for emergency management officers on “Mine rescue operation with human rights based approach” 

 

The training involved officers in charge of training, publicity, and prevention working in Ulaanbaatar Headquarter and provincial offices and mine rescue team members and aimed at raising awareness on small scale mining activity and artisanal miners’ contribution to local economy, provision of aid during the emergency situation and accident in mines, ensuring human rights during disasters, shaping human rights based approach, and strengthening capacity.
