Representative of the NHRCM working in the Commission for implementing the Law on granting amnesty first time

Representative of the NHRCM working in the Commission for implementing the Law on granting amnesty first timeMongolia has granted amnesty six times so far. However this is the 6th time a representative of the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia is included in the Working Group for implementing the Law on granting amnesty.

The Working Group, which was established by Resolution 78 of the State Great Khural for implementing Law on granting amnesty adopted for the 25th anniversary of the establishment of standing parliament in Mongolia, worked in Drakhan Uul Province on 5 November 2015.

The team of the Working Group which worked in Darkhan Uul Province are comprisedof B.Ganbat, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Legal Affairs of the parliament and Chairman of the Working Group, Oyunchimeg Purev, Commissioner of the National Human Rights Commission, G.Tuulkhuu, Deputy Chief of the General Authority for Implementing Court Decisions and Secretary of the Working Group, and T.Urantsetseg, Head of the Criminal Court Cabinet of the Supreme Court of Mongolia and Member of the Working Group.

The Working Group team visited Prison 445, got information on the process of implementing the Law on granting amnesty, discussed and clarified on whether there are any difficulties arising during the implementation of the law, and gave certain recommendations.
