Byambadorj Jamran, Chief Commissioner of the NHRCM had a meeting with Mr. Akiie Ninomiya, Executive Director of the Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD) on 11 November 2013 at the NHRCM.

The meeting covered the issues such as situation of the rights of the persons with disabilities, implementation of the Convention of the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities, and expected establishment of a committee to monitor over and to provide the support for the implementation of the convention as stated in the Article 33 of the convention.

As a result of the meeting, the Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD), National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia, and Ministry of Population Development and Social Welfare agreed to cooperate in launching a campaign to implement Incheon strategy “Make the rights real” which was developed for persons with disabilities in Mongolia in March 2014.
