NHRCM team headed by its Executive Director Dashdeleg Alyeksandr is to work in Khentii province on 18-20 November 2013.
The NHRCM, in cooperation with the UNDP, has started establishing “Human rights self-help groups,” civil voluntary mechanism involving representatives of local community with the purpose of determining the human rights and freedoms status, promoting human rights, and improving its outreach in the regions.
While, in order to set up human rights self-help groups each comprising 5 representatives of local commuinty in Huvsgul, Orkhon, Darkhan-Uul, and Selenge provinces, the NHRCM organized human rights training in Orkhon province, this time 5 persons each from Dornod, Sukhbaatar, Tuv, And Khentii provinces are going to be involved in the intended training.
This training aims to increase human rights based approach and methods and improve knowledge skills to recognize human rights violations at local level. The representatives involved in the training will establish a voluntary unit of citizens which will make it goals to raise human rights awareness and share information with the people and general public around themselves, to contribute to the prevention of human rights violations, to approach authorities about remedying violated rights, and to cooperate with the NHRCM and other local organizations that work in the field of human rights.
