Commissioner Ms.Oyunchimeg Purev has represented Mongolia at Fifth International Conference of Ombuds Institutions for the Armed Forces which held in Oslo, Norway from 20-22 October 2013.

The Conference was organized by the Geneva Centre for Democracy Control of Armed Forces and Parliamentarian Ombudsman of Armed Forces of Norway. The conference mainly focused on veteran’s current situation and challenges faced by veterans, role of ombuds institutions in resolving complaints from veterans, role of female officers working for armed forces and their current situation, gender and ombuds institutions, and participants presented about internal and international cooperation on these issues.
