National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia, jointly with the Danish Human Rights Institute and Friedrich Ebert Foundation, organized “Business and Human Rights” training on 4-6 September 2013.

The National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia submitted “the 12^th report on human rights and freedoms in Mongolia” to the State great Khural in April 2013. Having considered the report and the recommendations and proposals of the Commission, the Standing Committee on Legal Affairs adopted Resolution 13 on 3 July 2013. Chief Commissioner Byambadorj Jamsran delivered a recommendation to Altankhuyag Norov, Prime Minister of Mongolia, on the safety of child jockeys on 8 August 2013 in connection with the horse race ‘Mongol horse-3000,’planned to be organised in Hui Doloon Khudag for Guinnes record.

Chief Commissioner Byambadorj Jamsran met Tom Ginsburg, professor of Chigaco University and project advisor of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), on 14 August 2013.

On 2 July 2013 The National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the Governance Programme of UNDP successfully held a Forum on “Reporting to the international human rights treaty bodies”. 

Chief Commissioner Byambadorj Jamsran received visits of members of Bundestag headed by Gero Storjohann, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of Complaints and Petition, on 17 June 2013 at the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia.

On 15 January 2013, citizen E. who resides in Ulaan-Uul soum of Khuvsgul province, lodged a complaint to the NHRCM alleging that she was a victim of false accusation and investigation of a serious crime.  As a result of her prolonged pre-trial detention she suffered physical and mental damage.
