Chief Commissioner Byambadorj, along with Commissioner
Ganbayar Nanzad, received a visit of Ambassador Keith M. Harper, Representative
of the USA to the United Nations Human Rights Council, and Ms. Colleen Crenwelge, Political Chief of the Embasssy of the
USA in Mongolia, on 18 October 216 at the National Human Rights Commission of
Mongolia.
At the beginning of the meeting, Chief Commissioner Byambadorj Jamsran gave brief information on the activities of the NHRCM on the promotion and protection of the human rights and freedoms at national level and its engagement in Asia Pacific region.
Mr.Keith M. Harper raised questions on the legal and judicial reform in Mongolia and the issues related to the withdrawal of the laws from the parliament including Criminal Code, Law on breaches, and Laws on prosecutor’s organization and court decision enforcement institution.
