International training on human rights mechanism for National Human Rights Offices took place

NHRC-Mongolia has successfully engaged in an International training on "International Human Rights system and participation of national human rights institutions” that took place from May 1st to 5th in Geneva, Switzerland.

United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Friedrich-Ebert Foundation in Geneva and the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions organized the event under the topics of Human rights system, the functional role of the United Nations treaty bodies etc. The training used virtual and live approaches for its discussion on human rights situation. They also combined practical and theoretical approaches by working on case studies and examining the situations on both receiving and solving various problems.

In this training conference, 15 National Human Rights Offices from Asia-Pacific region, Europe, Africa and the America participated. Within the learning activities, participants took part as observers and aimed to bring attention to UN on issues such as Morocco's Human Rights situation and Republic of Korea's standpoint on torture.
