Purev has hosted a meeting with Per-Anders
Sunesson, New Swedish Ambassador to combat trafficking in human beings,
on 29 May 2018. During the meeting, Commissioner and New Swedish Ambassador have
exchanged various information on combating trafficking in human beings
including legal enactments on combating and eliminating trafficking in human
beings in Mongolia, trafficking prevention and victim protection mechanism,
implementation of domestic and international laws on combat trafficking in
human beings, as well as experience of and activities undertaken by the
Commissioner and the Commission in this regard. Swedish Ambassador has also
shared information on Swedish policy and activities aimed at combating
trafficking in human beings. They have concluded their meeting by agreeing to
seek potential cooperation among them.
